Dr. Erik Rose

Position: GIS Technician II

Duties: Update and maintain utility network data and geospatial services.

Erik graduated from Oregon State University in 2020 with a doctorate in fluvial geomorphology. A passionate Rust developer as well as GIS enthusiast, he is the author of the arcgis crate in Rust, a wrapper for the ArcGIS REST API. From 2018-2021 he worked as a GIS Analyst for Benton County, and joined the City of Grants Pass in 2022.

Duties: Address management, impervious surface calculations and employee training.
